At the Fortezza da Basso, Pitti Uomo 83 is already running. The famous men’s fashion fair, transforms Florence, from 8th until 11th january, to represent fashion Made in Italy, for the 83rd time. Pitti Uomo 83 represents an appointment not to be missed, with the high level Italian tailoring and with the various companies of the fashion industry, that will reveal their collection and previews for the Fall/Winter 2013-14, in fashion shows and stands, always highlighting the research and designing, that every new collection requires.
Over a thousand international brands and an exhibition area of 59 thousand square meters, reserved only for men’s fashion, trends and collections presented by companies from all over the world, from Europe to China, from Japan to the Middle East, focusing on emerging talents and with attention to the launch of new projects.
Kenzo as a guest of honor, Pitti Uomo 83’s schedule, in addition to men’s fashion shows, is full of events that involve internationally known names of creativity, among which Alternative Set, a series of performances and installations set up at the Salone, in addition to Pitti W, the “feminine” part of Pitti Uomo 83, all this designed to surprise the audience with flair and fantasy. During the fair of fashion, one of the protagonists of the Pitti Uomo 83, will also be “Art Comes First” (ACF), a collective of artists and designers, who will create for Alternative Set, a workshop dedicated to style and men’s looks.
Great debut for Carlo Chioma‘s 9.2 collection, that’s presented at Pitti Immagine Uomo for the very first time. This Made in Italy collection is a tribute to one of the most important garments in the male wardrobe; Pants. Comfortable and uncompromising, 9.2 Carlo Chioma pants have special details and finishes and a really wide color palette, from classic and natural colors, such as green, blue, avio and tones of white and gray, to trendy colors, such as dark red, yellow, strawberry and purple. Debut also for Bernardo Rojo and his design house Joseph Abboud, that arrive in Italy after a great success in New York.
