From 13th to 16th January 2015, Fortezza da Basso in Florence, as every year will welcome the charm of men’s fashion with Pitti Immagine Uomo 87.
The international exhibition of fashion and lifestyle is already announced as a record edition, with the presence of over a thousand brands, not counting women’s collections. An unusual journey among beauty and elegance in all forms, from fashion to art, from design to sport, will accommodate thousands of visitors (over 30 thousand in the last edition), representing the most famous megastores and showrooms in the world.
Theme of this next Pitti 2015 festival edition is Walkabout: an invitation to delve into the fascinating dimension of the art of walking, traveling on foot just for pleasure. Walking for sport or even more walking as a culture, for observing and savoring the world, for thinking and sharing thoughts and words. Today walking has become an expression of lifestyle, a way of being also reflected in outfits, where a technical and sophisticated, elegant and underground style prevails.
Thanks to Oliviero Baldini’s set design, the Fortezza Da Basso will be transformed into a mixed place where different paths intertwine and come together, including classical and ultra-modern, great designers of the international scene and young and innovative talents. Pitti Immagine Uomo 87 will present an original and luxurious program, among which some special guests as Marni and Hood By Air, and extraordinary events such as the Andrea Incontri fashion-show event. Along with the presentation of the event in Florence, also Milan will offer a new project starting from 17th Juanuary “La via dell’uomo”, involving via del Gesù , a street symbol for men’s fashion in the capital city of Lombardy.
