Men’s fashion international event at Pitti Uomo 86



More than a thousand brands of men’s fashion will be the protagonists of the next edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo 86.

The most important trade fair-event dedicated to men’s fashion and the main trends of contemporary lifestyle, will be held in Florence from 17 to 20 June 2014. The meeting point between business and creativity, new proposals and talents, and special projects. There will be 1030 brands, plus 70 women’s collections at Pitti W, real excellences ready to showcase all the cutting-edge looks of an industry increasingly focused on internationalism, with 40% of foreign companies.


The title-theme of Pitti Uomo 86 will be Ping Pitti Pong, an initiative to talk about sports and in particular of table tennis, as an expression of lifestyle; a sport which embodies and combines mental concentration, physical action, speed and technical skill. With the setting designed by Oliviero Baldini, Ping Pitti Pong will include a special cooperation with La Gazzetta dello Sport and a series of initiatives that will involve the Pitti People – buyers, famous bloggers, fashion influencer, exhibitors and the press. Many initiatives, events and previews, designer fashion shows and performances, live installations and musical evenings, exhibitions and films in the beautiful Florence, for the key international trade event showcasing men’s fashion.


A lot of news: starting with the reentries of the prestigious brands such as Custo, Brooksfield, Massimo Alba, Borsalino, Woolrich Woolen Mills and Eleven Paris. Various special projects such as G-Star ‘Raw Raw for the Oceans”, produced in cooperation with Pharrell Williams, the new project of Zegna, a great protagonist of men’s fashion and and the special guest of the event.

Many debuts and new entries such as the collection of Ron Herman, among others ‘launches’ X Tiger Jay North Sails Collection, collaborating with North Sails, and a preview of the new capsule collection of Nick Wooster Lardini, ready to land on the U.S. and Asian markets. The Japanese group brands of Men’s Fashion Unity will present their collections dedicated to the research in contemporary classic. You should not miss the Italia Independent’s project, for the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion showcasing the extraordinary sunglasses “Unique Edition for Pitti Immagine Uomo.”

Among the special initiatives, the screening of the film ‘E poi c’è Napoli’ (And then there is Naples) premiere at the Cinema Odeon Theatre in Florence, a tribute to Napolitan culture, inimitable example of masculine style and elegance, and the new lighting for the Ponte Vecchio, well-known symbol of Florence.
