From Pitti86: summer 2015 trends

Great success for Pitti 86, the historic event held at the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence, and dedicated to the Italian men’s fashion.

This year the 86th edition has seen a surprising number of visitors, confirming the presence of foreign markets, but especially the welcome return of Italian clients. The theme of Pitti 86 was Ping Pong, a symbolic choice of a game where speed, strength, concentration and cunning are necessarily involved: the perfect metaphor for the fashion industry, where creativity must continually deal with the laws of market.

Patterns, colours and sophistication for men’s shirts 2015

In the shirt industry, summer 2015 trends will maintain bright colours but with a choice of more sober matching, patterns will be smaller even for ties, men’s look will lean toward casual style, yet enriched by refined accessories to create the typical elegant dandy style. Among the premieres of men’s fashion presented at the Fortezza Da Basso, shirts are certainly one of the most representative garments of the male wardrobe, which can perhaps better define the style of the wearer. Fashion shirts trends for 2015, showcased at the well-known trade-fair, confirm first of all a great use of printed fabrics, where colour and shape play together without limits, creating an infinite variety of new and original patterns: microdesigns, but also patterns inspired by pop art transformed into minimalist motifs, in black and white contrasting shades.

Also, for the next summer the return of denim, in its lighter tones, also worn under the jacket for an elegant and casual look, perfect in every moment of the day. Ever-present, of course, check patterns, microprints always on denim, and jacquard patterns, not only for shirts but also for jackets and suits. Among the other latest trends, also the vintage inspired shirts, stripes, flowers, polka dots, geometric patterns and abstract shapes, to reconfirm with irony the dandy style for summer 2015 trends: a refined and innovative look even in the choice of fabrics, poplin, cotton, linen and silk.
